Registered Nurse ICU

Overview

Provides direct and indirect patient care to patients in the intensive care unit. Communicates with physicians, patient care manager and co-workers about changes in patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Can respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient's condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to independently perform general nursing duties required for an RN working in the Intermediate Care Unit.

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the intensive care unit.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and diagnostic results to physicians, patient care manager, and team.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Independently perform general nursing duties required for an RN in the Intermediate Care Unit.

• Current licensed as a Professional Registered Nurse in New York State
• BCLS/ACLS required
• Critical Care Experience Preferred

• Associates or better.

• NYS RN Registration
• NYS Child Abuse Cert
• Moderate Sedation
• NIHSS Stroke
• ACLS CERT AMERICAN HEART
• BLS CERT AMERICAN HEART
