It is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia, and Westchester Counties. Currently, Sun River Health seeks a part-time Nurse Practitioner for its Bronx Blvd Health Center in Bronx, NY.
Job Responsibilities
- Take histories, perform physical examinations, administer immunizations, and provide patient education and counseling.
- Order lab work, draw blood, and perform tests such as microscopic exams.
- Prescribe treatments for minor illnesses and consult with physicians for medications, chronic illnesses, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate documentation, review records, and follow up on abnormal results.
- Participate in case conferences, continuing education, provider meetings, and quality improvement programs.
- Identify patient needs based on age-specific requirements.
- Follow OSHA infection control standards under CDC guidelines.
- Ensure performance meets productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing.
- 5-8 years of work experience, including 4 years in a large medical practice.
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in NY and CPR/BLS certification.
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment procedures.
- Competence in delivering healthcare and preventative education.
- Ability to collaborate within a healthcare team.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Salary Range: $74.46 - $80.47 based on experience and licensure.
