RN-Hemodialysis Nurse/Educator-Home Dialysis-Full Time

Queens-Long Island Renal Institute, located on the lobby level of the Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation in New Hyde Park, New York, is seeking a Full-Time Hemodialysis Nurse/Educator for its Home Dialysis program.

We are seeking a Hemodialysis Nurse Educator to join our team of experienced professionals to educate and train staff, both in the field and on the unit, to enable them to carry out their clinical home therapies job responsibilities in a compassionate, complete and efficient manner.

You will act both in a leadership capacity, as well as a consultant, aiding the Interdisciplinary Team in attaining and maintaining optimum quality and appropriateness of care in accordance with standards of practice, performance, and state and federal requirements. As the Home Dialysis Trainer and Educator, you will be an integral part of the team, with the opportunity to train staff on the nursing care processes for Home Therapies, and will be assigned to meet the staff training needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to help develop and administer a home dialysis education program.

Provide leadership and consultation to the Interdisciplinary Team to attain high-quality, appropriate care in line with practice standards and regulatory requirements. Train and educate staff on nursing care processes for Home Therapies and support the implementation of home dialysis education programs.

• New York State RN License
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• At least two (2) years of experience as a dialysis nurse
• Prior experience in home dialysis
• BCLS (ACLS preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software
