About the job RN - Behavioral Health Adult Emergency
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the emergency room
- Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient needs based on acuity
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and symptoms
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as sonography and spinal taps
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, and discharge planning
- Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment skills to identify emergent patient needs
- Proficiency in operating medical equipment such as neonatal ventilators
- Knowledge of dementia care and the ability to provide appropriate support to patients with cognitive impairments
Requirements :
- Two years of Behavioral health experience is required
- Two years of emergency room experience is required
