At New York-Presbyterian, oncology nurses are at the forefront of compassionate care. We house one of only 20 National Cancer Institute-designated centers for pediatric Phase I trials in the nation. Nurses administer chemotherapy, manage symptoms, support patients and educate families, and serve as the nerve center of extensive multidisciplinary teams. This is a 26-bed unit that primarily houses hematology, oncology and bone marrow transplant patients.

• Provide care on a 26-bed pediatric hematology/oncology/bone marrow transplant unit, including administration of chemotherapy, symptom management, family education, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage in shared clinical decision-making, contribute to a culture of professional excellence, and support outstanding patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate, patient- and family-centered care and participate in rounds and care planning as appropriate.
• Maintain a flexible schedule (per diem) and uphold professional standards in a fast-paced environment.

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
• BCLS certification
• At least 1 year of Pediatric Oncology experience

Preferred Criteria

• At least two plus years of Pediatric Oncology experience
• National Specialty Certification

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range: $82.94/Hourly
