About Us
Allegria Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Port Jefferson is a long-term care and skilled nursing facility committed to delivering exceptional care to our residents. We are dedicated to providing top-tier care to our residents and fostering a positive, team-driven work environment. We are actively hiring compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our evening (3pm-11pm) and overnight (11pm-7am) care teams.
LPNs play essential roles in the care of our residents. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care, supervising CNAs, coordinating with medical staff, and ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations.
Shifts Available
Full-Time | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Evening Shift)
Full-Time | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Overnight Shift)
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor and document residents' conditions and progress
- Supervise and support CNAs and other care team members
- Respond to medical emergencies and follow proper protocols
- Communicate with families, residents, and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
- Promote a safe, clean, and respectful environment for all residents
- Valid New York State license as an LPN (Required)
- Current CPR certification (Preferred)
- Experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility (Preferred)
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and compassionate approach to care
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting
