Job DescriptionReporting to the Medical Division Director and Nursing Leadership, the Clinical Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a key member of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Generalist Division clinical team, providing a full range of obstetrical and gynecological health care services. The NP assesses and provides care to a designated patient group in collaboration with physicians, including general gynecologic care such as annual exams, pap smears, contraceptive counseling, inpatient low-risk obstetric evaluations, postpartum management, disability/return-to-work clearance, and same-day gynecologic consultations.
The NP manages patient care plans, participates in performance improvement activities, maintains professional standards, and collaborates with healthcare professionals. Responsibilities also include documentation, team participation, and quality improvement activities.
- Master's Degree or post-Masters Certificate in nurse practitioner specialty or acceptable equivalent.
- NYS License and current registration or permit as an RN.
- Current NYS Nurse Practitioner certification and registration.
- National certification in nurse practitioner specialty (e.g., ANCC, AANP).
- 2-5 years of satisfactory RN experience, preferably in OB-GYN & Women's Health.
- Prenatal nonstress testing experience preferred.
- Strong obstetric clinical skills, excellent communication, and ability to work collaboratively.
- Commitment to patient-centered care with compassion and empathy.
