Location: New York
Position:
Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Lead, Oversight & Clinical Support – NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities.
As an RN, you will clinically oversee a cluster of nurses across multiple sites, provide direct nursing care, and support staff development.
Pay RangeBase pay: $123,173 – $133,121 per year.
Responsibilities- Oversee and clinically supervise a cluster of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses across multiple sites.
- Provide nursing case management for multiple locations, ensuring timely medical follow-up and accurate documentation.
- Supervise and coach RNs and LPNs, including orientation, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct nursing audits; review findings with the Supervisor/Director of Nursing and develop corrective action plans.
- Maintain communication with primary medical specialists, hospitals, and clinical staff; advocate for individuals’ health‑care needs.
- Complete nursing assessments and related documentation (RN Notes, nursing logbook, electronic health record).
- Participate in Nurse on Call rotation, support medication administration audits, and complete medication error documentation.
- Provide health‑related training and consultative support to residential staff.
- Attend discipline meetings and mandatory training; pursue continuous professional development.
- Maintain computer proficiency (Word, Excel, EHR).
- Current New York State RN license with at least two years of post‑licensure clinical experience.
- At least one year of direct services to individuals with mental illness, developmental disability, addiction, or substance‑use disorder in a community setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing may substitute for one year of experience;
Master’s degree may substitute for two years. - Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop nursing staff, conduct audits, and collaborate with medical teams.
