Overview
Responsible for a variety of educational activities related directly and indirectly to staff development and continuing education.
Responsibilities- Completion of an accredited Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program
- Current NY State NP license and registration
- Valid DEA number
- ANCC/AANP Certification
- Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy / Biotherapy Certification
- 1-2 years of Outpatient Clinical Oncology/Chemotherapy Patient Management experience
- Proficient in ordering Chemotherapeutic & Immunotherapeutic regimen
- Experience in complex patient management
- Demonstrate expertise in infusion protocols
- Skilled in managing complex oncology patient cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills focused on patient centered care
- Skills in providing comprehensive education and support to Oncology patients/families
- 3-5 years oncology experience
- Experience in Nursing Education
- MSN in Nursing Education or a Post-Masters Certificate in Nursing Education
- Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
