The Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner scope of practice includes preparing patients for exams or treatments and making assessments, including helping to perform diagnostic tests and analyzing results, recording patients’ medical histories and symptoms, including observations, health promotion recommendations, and methods of disease prevention. Administering medicine and treatments to patients and helping to establish plans of care for patients. They also guide and direct licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians and nurse’s aides in rendering patient care.

Qualifications- BSN required
- Associate degree accepted in some facilities with proof of continuing education towards BSN
- NYS License required
- Two (2) years Med/Surg experience required for Critical Care and ER related positions
- Experience and certification in specialty areas (L&D, Psych/Behavioral Health/CNOR, Operating Room, etc.) required
- BCLS, ACLS and/or PALS required
- All positions are in hospitals and nursing homes. These facilities are open 24 hours/7 days each week.
- General shift availability:
- Days (7a-3p or 8a-4p)
- Evenings (3p-11p or 4p-12a)
- Nights (11p-7a or 12a-8a)
- Every other weekend is usually required for all positions.
- At some facilities RNs are required to work 12 hours per day, 3 days per week.
COVID-19 Vaccination Is Required.
