Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Summary/Objective: Provide excellent and quality nursing care to patients in the assigned work facility in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, established nursing standards, and applicable scope of practice limitations.

Qualifications and

Educational Requirements:

• Proof of a valid nursing license from the state of your assigned facility.
• Proof of graduation from an accredited program applicable to this job title.
• Experience in health care delivery system preferred.

Competency Requirements:

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability for clinical decision‑making, clinical competency, and to function independently within scope of clinical practice.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to use an electronic medical record.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and evaluate nursing care delivery to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and established nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, and provide comprehensive nursing care to promote, maintain, and restore patient well‑being while ensuring safety and security requirements.
• Administer medications, treatments, immunizations, first aid, CPR, oxygen, perform 12‑lead ECGs, and collect laboratory specimens as prescribed.
• Conduct patient screenings, assessments, vital signs, and accurately document findings, symptoms, reactions, and progress in medical records.
• Maintain professional collaboration with facility staff, providers, outside services, and company personnel to ensure continuity of care.
• Ensure strict compliance with pharmacy regulations, controlled substances management, confidentiality requirements, and quality assurance activities.
• Communicate relevant patient and facility information through reports, referrals, and inter‑shift handoffs to support effective care coordination.
• Monitor supplies, equipment, operational efficiency, attend required meetings, and perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• Must be able to push/pull/lift a minimum of twenty‑five (25) pounds.
• Must be able to timely respond to emergency situations throughout the correctional facility and be able to perform lifesaving measures, such as CPR, on patients in either a standing, kneeling, or bent position for at least twenty (20) minutes.
• Flexibility in work schedule is required as is temporary flexibility in work location(s).
• Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
