Facility Size: 250 beds

Patient Ratio: Day - 2 LPNs/40 patients;
Evening/Night - 1 LPN/40 patients

Uniform Requirements:

LPN - Purple
RN - Teal Green
CNA - Navy Blue

Shift Details

Day Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Evening Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM

Night Shift: 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Weekend Requirement: Must work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

Pay & Compensation

Estimated Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Orientation

Length: 3-4 days, with additional orientation time for med pass, treatment pass, and desk responsibilities

Paid: Yes, orientation pay begins immediately

Days/Time: Typically conducted on the right side of the building in the lobby

1st 3 days: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Remaining Days: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Minimum Requirements

Experience: 6 months of prior LPN experience required

Licensure: Active LPN license in good standing

Other Requirements: Resume, primary verification, reference, drivers license, and health clearances (Varicella, Hep B, CHRC)

Fingerprinting: Required by NYS Vets Home policy, provided by the facility at no expense to the applicant

Patient Care Requirements

Responsibilities: Provide quality care to assigned patients, including medication and treatment administration, patient monitoring, and documentation of care

Patient Load: Must be comfortable managing 40 patients independently during evening and night shifts

Note: Easy-to-manage patient load, but high autonomy expected
