Join Our Team as a Nurse Leader for our Blood Donor Room & Apheresis Blood Donor Room and Apheresis Team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center collects life-saving blood components from volunteer and patient donors for patients undergoing cancer treatment. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy can deplete blood supply, making a healthy and consistent blood and platelet supply critical for patient care.
Guide Clinical Excellence: Oversee therapeutic apheresis and specialized cell collection procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, quality, and compassion.
Support Life-Saving Impact: Direct and support blood collection and apheresis services from volunteer donors, securing the critical blood and platelet supply that sustains cancer care.
Educate & Empower: Provide guidance and education to patients, donors, families, and staff, creating an environment of trust, learning, and empowerment.
Develop Future Talent: Mentor and support your team through individualized training and orientation programs, strengthening nursing practice and building the next generation of nurse leaders.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license/registration
National Certification is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years recent nursing experience;
Blood Donor and Apheresis experience idealDemonstrated leadership skills.
