Description:

The purpose of the Nursing Supervisor job is to coordinate the activities of the resident care units. The Nursing Supervisor assists the clinical coordinator in departmental staffing on a daily basis, maintains approved standards of resident care within the Department of Nursing taking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs, and the investigation and resolution of complaints. The Nursing Supervisor has responsibility for the operation of the entire Nursing Home in the absence of Administration with the support of the designated Director of Nursing on call.

The Nursing Supervisor coordinates activities of resident care units, assists with daily departmental staffing, maintains standards of resident care, addresses resident needs, investigates and resolves complaints, and oversees operations in the absence of Administration with on-call Director of Nursing support.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with Associate’s Degree or diploma. Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group (adult, geriatric) served on their assigned unit.
• Prefer Bachelor of Science/Nursing degree.
• Possess current NYS license for Registered Nurse. Basic Life Support certification.
• Two (2) years of medical/surgical experience or two (2) years long term care experience.
• Prefer two (2) years of nursing management experience in a skilled nursing facility.

Status: 2:45pm – 11:15am (16 hours)

Rate of Pay: $36.50 – $51.63 / HOUR – Compensation for this position is based on individual skill set, experience, and qualifications.
