** Position Overview
** United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Ambulatory Surgery to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The Surgical unit works as a team to successfully complete surgical procedures. The unit also cares for patients pre and post operation.

The operations completed are a broad range of procedures and vast majority of cases are able to go home same day.

* * Compensation Range:**$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience----

* Schedule:

** 8 hour shifts, Monday – Friday

* Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

*** Managing admission process
* Releasing orders, reviewing charts, obtaining consents
* Prepping patient for operation – IVs, administering medication
* Monitoring patients post operation
*
* Qualifications:

*** A valid NY RN license
* Med Surg experience needed
* Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory surgery setting
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team Preferred:
* Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
* Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.

*** Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients.

* Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
* PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies
