Assistant Nurse Manager – Southeast 5 General Surgery Unit

Highland Hospital’s Assistant Nurse Manager in the Southeast 5 General Surgery Unit offers a flexible schedule and the chance to work with a strong leadership team.

• Provide professional nursing services, lead nursing staff, and manage operational processes to serve patients and families.
• Collaborate with health care providers and team members to achieve patient and organizational outcomes.
• Use the nursing process, leadership theory, and evidence‑based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services.
• Perform within five core performance domains:
  Clinical Practice, Service Excellence, Professional Development and Communication, Research & Evidence‑Based Practice, and Organization Contributions & Growth.
• Support standards of care, consult, mentor, and act as a resource for team members.
• Participate in human‑resources activities including recruitment, retention, and workforce planning.
• Contribute to unit, program, or service level goal achievement through education, orientation, precepting, quality improvement, business operations, safety, standards development, and recruitment initiatives.

• 3–5 years recent RN experience in an acute care setting.
• BS in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed by New York State as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers preferred).

Pay Range: $96,102.52 – $. Compensation will be set within this range based on market data, education, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
