Rome Health is currently seeking a Night Nursing Supervisor to provide leadership over clinical operations, care delivery, and support throughout all hospital units. The Nursing Supervisor will assist with emergency response, coordinate nursing staff, and ensure that all care provided meets Rome Health policies and procedures. The role includes the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities- Act as administrative support to nursing staff, physicians, and other departments.
- Allocate staffing resources based on census and acuity.
- Provide guidance and support to clinical staff members with day‑to‑day tasks and emergencies.
- Provide caring customer service to patients and family members and escalated issues as appropriate.
- Conduct routine rounds, ensuring documentation, reporting and incident tracking is completed accurately and on time.
- Complete shift reports and communicate effectively during shift changes.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN or enrollment in a BSN program is required.
- Licenses: Current Registered Nurse license in New York State.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of work experience in an acute‑care hospital is desirable.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk and stand up to 12 hours per day; lift up to 45 pounds, push/pull, and handle patients; perform frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching; near‑visual acuity for computer use and monitoring patients; color vision for identifying changes in skin color and medications.
