Job Summary

Sesame Workshop is looking for Coordinator, Institutional Advancement. The Coordinator is a member of the Revenue and Philanthropy Department and reports to the Vice President, Institutional Advancement and Impact Revenue Strategy. The Coordinator will provide essential administrative, data and knowledge management, and research support to the team that is responsible for securing philanthropic funding from public and private entities for Sesame Workshop's mission driven work.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for the Institutional Advancement team including calendar management for the VP, Institutional Advancement, as well as scheduling general team meetings, travel coordination, and organizational support.
  • Support fundraisers with initiative-related tasks, such as creating proposal timelines, arranging meetings, developing communications, and maintaining a database of SharePoint project-based information, resources, and meeting notes.
  • Assist in preparing materials for projects, meetings, and presentations.
  • Assist in entry and management of Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Conduct research on prospective donors and help in the development of new business strategies focused on foundations, government and multilateral entities.
  • Coordinate and collaborate across departments to support internal communications, coordination and information sharing for proposals, projects and other purposes.
  • Develop and manage protocols, timelines, and knowledge management for timely submission of proposals and grant deliverables.
  • Perform other administrative, research, and knowledge management tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of professional experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and desk research skills
  • Ability to problem solve, adapt, handle diverse tasks, practice resourcefulness and keep to deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter and work independently as well as in a team
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and use of the internet is essential
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM is a plus
Sesame Workshop Hybrid Work Policy

This position is based at our headquarters office in New York (Manhattan) at 1900 Broadway, New York, NY, and follows a hybrid work model. In-office requirements vary by role and employee group, and currently range from two to five designated in-office days per week.
