Field Director
Patrick Martinez is running for New York State Assembly to fight for housing we can afford, stronger public schools, and safety for immigrant communities in Queens. Our campaign is building a people-powered movement rooted in grassroots organizing, community relationships, and strong voter engagement.
The campaign is seeking a highly motivated Field Director to build and execute a strong grassroots voter outreach program across the district. The Field Director will oversee all field operations including canvassing, volunteer recruitment, phone banking, and voter contact programs.
ResponsibilitiesField Program Leadership
- Design and execute the campaign’s field strategy to reach voters across Assembly District 30
- Build a path to victory by identifying and mobilizing likely supporters
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress toward voter contact goals and adjust strategy as needed
Volunteer Recruitment & Management
- Build a strong volunteer base from community members and supporters
- Organize volunteer phone banks, canvasses, and textbanks
- Maintain regular communication with volunteers and cultivate leadership among them
Canvassing Program
- Train and manage canvassers and volunteers
- Manage turf cutting and voter lists using the campaign’s voter database (VAN)
- Organize daily door-knocking operations across targeted neighborhoods
Voter Contact Operations
- Oversee phone banking, relational organizing, and text messaging programs
- Ensure the campaign meets weekly voter contact goals
- Track supporter identification and persuasion efforts
Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate voter data and canvass results
- Report field metrics regularly to campaign leadership
- Use data to refine targeting and outreach strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in political campaigns, organizing, or grassroots advocacy preferred
- Strong leadership and volunteer management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends
- Familiarity with VAN or voter databases preferred
- Fluency in Bangla, Mandarin, Nepali, or Spanish.
- Passion for affordable housing, education, transportation, and immigrant rights
