Momentum Communications Group is seeking a Media Strategist to join our team of award-winning nonprofit communications specialists. The media strategist position is primarily responsible for placing press coverage on our nonprofit clients, as well as supporting social media and digital marketing campaigns as needed. PositionResponsibilities
- Pitch local, regional and national media to place stories on our clients
- Cultivate relationships with journalists
- Interview clients and stakeholders to develop stories
- Write press materials, opinion pieces, bylined articles and digital content
- Brainstorm ideas to advance our clients’ missions
- Write social media content and execute social media strategy as needed
Our ideal candidate has at least one year’s experience as a fulltime journalist, conducting interviews, reporting, writing and/or editing stories for a news organization. Alternatively, candidates should have at least one year of media relations experience working at a PR agency or nonprofit. Experience creating and/or managing social media is a plus.
