United Way of New York City (UWNYC) seeks a frontline fundraiser and strategic partner to senior leadership to manage and grow a portfolio of major donors.

• Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, executing tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
• Drive awareness of UWNYC’s mission, funding priorities, and impact among assigned donors and prospects
• Conduct prospect research and maintain an active, strategic donor pipeline
• Monitor revenue goals, moves management activity, and portfolio projections
• Support CEO and senior leadership donor portfolios through briefings, strategy, and follow-up coordination
• Collaborate with Resource Development and cross-functional teams to align donor strategies with organizational priorities
• Draft donor proposals, presentations, talking points, and stewardship materials
• Ensure timely documentation of donor activity and maintain accurate CRM records
• Track donor engagement and portfolio performance to support reporting and decision-making

• 5+ years of progressive nonprofit development or individual giving experience
• Proven success managing donor portfolios and meeting or exceeding revenue goals
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and board members on donor cultivation and stewardship
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Experience with prospect research, donor pipelines, and CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge a plus)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with donor databases and project management tools
• Strategic thinker with sound judgment, creativity, and strong listening skills
• Mission-driven and passionate about advancing UWNYC’s impact
