Elgon child watch initiatives Uganda is child focused organization based in Uganda since 2016. The organization aims at improving children's opportunities to a better life through support of education and livelihoods of the most vulnerable children.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Grant Writing Volunteer based in Sironko. The role involves researching funding opportunities, creating and writing comprehensive grant proposals, and assisting with budgeting for proposed projects. The volunteer will also collaborate with the organization’s team to ensure all proposals align with the mission and objectives of the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data and evaluate funding opportunities
• Proven experience in Proposal Writing and research for crafting compelling grant applications
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey clear and persuasive messages
• Knowledge of Budgeting to prepare and outline financial plans within grant proposals
• Familiarity with donor requirements and experience in fundraising is preferred
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Nonprofit Management, Communications, or related disciplines is a plus
