The J Healthcare Initiative is a globally renowned non-profit organization focused on reforming substance use healthcare through advocacy and practical support, including harm-reduction supplies and partnerships with universities for internships and practicum placements.
OverviewThe J Healthcare Initiative is actively seeking passionate, committed, and driven students for our College Chapter program. As a volunteer, you will have a unique opportunity to support the organization's mission to reduce the toxic drug crisis by empowering individuals' healthcare choices. We support evidence-based policy and recognize that everyone's story is different, so we respect each person s health decisions and goals.

Responsibilities- Facilitate free harm-reduction workshops to educate the campus community about health and wellness.
- Advocate for full-spectrum harm reduction and promote the J Healthcare Initiative at your institution.
- Organize fundraising events to raise funds and awareness for harm reduction and individualized treatment options.
- Facilitate educational workshops to raise awareness about the benefits of legal-prescription access to regulated opioids and stimulants.

- Organize events to raise funds and awareness for expanded access to safe, regulated drugs and individualized treatment options.
- Enrolled in a college or university
- Passionate about drug policy reform and harm reduction advocacy
- Capable of maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Ready to serve one academic year at a minimum (encouraged to serve longer)
- An official letter of recommendation after one year of service, certifying your skills, contributions, and commitment.
- Opportunities to build networks with healthcare professionals, drug policy experts, and harm reduction advocates, providing invaluable exposure and connections.
- Gain hands-on experience in advocacy, public health, event management, and community service related to drug policy reform.
