Overview

The New York Immigration Coalition, a state-wide member-led coalition of immigrant and refugee organizations, works to transform the lives of all New Yorkers by strengthening and building our members’ power, organizing and educating our communities and the public, and using our collective voice to advocate for opportunity and justice.

Member Duties : The NYIC VISTA Leader placed at the NYIC will focus on supporting the management of the NYIC VISTA program and providing direct support to all of the program’s VISTAs. The VISTA Leader will support VISTA recruitment and training. The VISTA Leader will also offer professional development training to VISTAs, or connect VISTAs to resources and professional development opportunities, coordinate VISTA engagement in national Days of Service and Ameri Corps Week, and develop and support initiatives to support VISTA alumni and those currently serving.
