Womankind uses the multidimensionality of our Asian heritage to work alongside survivors of gender-based violence as they build a path to healing. We are working tirelessly to create a future where we Rise Above Violence and our communities can innovate towards collective well-being, restoration, and social justice. In addition to promoting healing and safety through service provision, Womankind promotes gender justice through research, coalition building, policy analysis, and community education and mobilization.
Project Free is the anti-human trafficking (HT) program within Womankind. The Advocate will provide specialized community outreach and awareness raising, emotionally supportive counseling and case management to survivors of human trafficking. Recognizing that survivors can experience various forms of exploitation and often hold multiple truths, the advocate will have the opportunity to provide support to all survivors of gender-based violence. The advocate will work closely with the Project Free manager and will receive weekly supervision, trainings and have access to the resources available y will also work with various teams at Womankind to bolster their own learning and deepen the mission of the organization.
