Director Of Major Gifts; Mffw

The Director of Major Gifts reports to the Chief of Advancement and is an integral member of the Ms. Foundation for Women’s Advancement team. Primary responsibilities developing strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors to support the Ms. Foundation’s revenue. This full-time, permanent position will be located in New York City as a member of the local team working from our Brooklyn offices.

This position has direct impact on the Ms. Foundation’s mission to build the collective power of women, as well as our reputation among donors, grantee partners, and other critical stakeholders. The Director of Major Gifts is a leader within the Advancement team who has an impact on the cultural, financial and operational performance of the department.

The Director of Major Gifts will grow and oversee a portfolio of 150-200 donors and prospects. The Director of Major Gifts is responsible for identifying and hosting donor cultivation and solicitation opportunities through individual meetings, small events, and integrated communications (online and print), and working in partnership with fundraising and communications staff to build messaging and outreach. This position requires work outside traditional business hours and regular travel should be anticipated.
