We are hiring a Content Strategist, Campaign Services to help the next generation of Democratic leaders tell their stories and run competitive campaigns.

Majority Democrats is a new organization committed to reshaping and growing the Democratic Party so that it can compete everywhere and improve the lives of the American people.

From city halls to Congress, coast to coast, Majority Democrats consistently outperform the Democratic Party as a whole. They are the next generation of Democratic leaders—willing to challenge the establishment and break with party orthodoxy. They understand what matters to their communities and know how to win, especially in the places where Democrats underperform.

That’s where this role comes in.

As a Content Strategist, you will work directly with members and candidates to translate good politics into compelling digital content. You’ll help candidates develop authentic voices online, create content that resonates with voters, and turn campaign moments into powerful storytelling that builds momentum. You’ll also help run our owned social media accounts and spread the word about our candidates.

If you understand campaigns but also think like a creator — someone who knows how to shape a message, spot a moment, and help candidates show up authentically — you’ll thrive here.

WHO ARE YOU:
  • You are a Democrat
  • You love winning
  • You are a decent person with integrity
  • You are not easily offended or bothered by every slight or misspoken word
  • You dislike groupthink and following the herd. You have original opinions, insights, and a style that doesn’t prioritize conformity
  • You thrive in a campaign-style or startup-style environment- owning your work, pivoting on the fly, and not needing direction on every detail
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Work directly with members, candidates, and campaigns to develop platform-native digital content strategies
  • Help candidates translate their personal stories, community ties, and values into compelling campaign content
  • Advise campaigns on tone, messaging, and formats that resonate with voters online
  • Develop repeatable content formats candidates can sustain throughout a campaign
  • Identify opportunities to turn campaign trail moments: town halls, local events, and media hits, into engaging digital content
  • Produce short-form video, social content, and graphics for our social channels
  • Monitor political and cultural moments and help campaigns respond quickly and effectively
  • Help campaigns simplify complex policy issues into clear, relatable messaging
  • Provide strategic guidance on what content is working and where campaigns should focus their energy
  • Support new candidates launching their campaigns with foundational digital strategy and content planning

This is a hands-on role. We’re looking for someone who can both advise and execute - someone comfortable shaping strategy while also helping write, script, outline, or produce content when needed.

WHO ARE YOU (continued):
  • 1-3+ years working in campaigns, political communications, media, or digital content
  • Strong understanding of how digital works and an inherent involvement in day to day social media (you’re already an online person and you know what cultural moments are happening!)
  • Excellent writer and storyteller
  • Proficiency in video editing
  • Deep fluency in social platforms, internet culture, and digital video formats
  • Strong editorial judgment and instincts
  • Comfortable working directly with candidates and senior campaign staff
  • Able to translate complex policy or legislative work into clear, engaging digital content
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working nights and weekends during major political moments
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (FIRST 3-6 MONTHS)
  • Our candidates and members consistently produce content that travels beyond political audiences
  • Campaign partners view us as a creative and strategic partners
  • Candidates develop recognizable online voices and repeatable content formats
  • Our campaigns become known for producing smart, culturally fluent political content
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Competitive salary, $84K-$108K per year DOE
  • Creative, flexible, and collaborative work environment
  • Flexible hybrid work…
