AKA NYC is looking for a Performance Marketing Director to shape and execute innovative multi-channel media plans. This role will contribute significantly to the success of high-profile campaigns. Reporting to the Head of Paid Media, the Performance Marketing Director is a full-time position that is based in New York City.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:- Act as the lead performance marketing advisor for key clients, translating their goals into actionable, measurable media strategies.
- Lead performance media strategy and execution across key client accounts, with deep expertise in Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, and CRM channels.
- Oversee campaign planning, buying, and optimization to ensure efficient, data-driven, and results-oriented execution.
- Develop data-informed media strategies that align with client goals and deliver on key performance metrics.
- Oversee testing initiatives across creative, targeting, and bidding to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify new opportunities for innovation, platform adoption, and emerging media channels.
- Collaborate with creative, strategy, and account teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact campaigns.
- Maintain a deep understanding of client industries, audiences, and competitive landscapes to proactively identify opportunities for performance growth.
- Present results and recommendations clearly and confidently, focusing on insights, efficiency, and measurable business impact.
- 6 - 8years of experience in performance or digital marketing, ideally within an agency setting.
- Proven track record managing campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, Tik Tok, Linked In, DV360, and The Trade Desk.
- Deep understanding of key performance metrics (CPA, ROAS, CTR, CVR, etc.) and optimization levers.
- Strong analytical mindset and comfort using tools like Google Analytics, Looker, or Tableau.
- Exceptional communication skills and able to present strategy and performance clearly and confidently.
- Strategic thinker who thrives on connecting data insights with creative storytelling.
- Highly organized multitasker who can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative, proactive, and passionate about culture, live experiences, and audience engagement.
- Experience leading client relationships and influencing decision-makers with data-backed recommendations.
The salary range for this position in New York, NY is $120,000 to $140,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and years of experience. A discretionary bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package.
