The Role

We’re hiring a part-time Marketing Coordinator / Social Media Manager to own Meela’s social presence and support broader marketing execution, with a strong emphasis on creating and editing visual collateral.

Social media is the core responsibility of this role. You’ll be responsible for planning, creating, and shipping content consistently. Beyond social, you’ll help keep marketing work moving — coordinating assets, supporting design needs, and handling execution details that make things run smoothly.

This is an on-site role in NYC. For the right person, this role has a clear path to growing into a full-time position as the company scales.

What You’ll Do
  • Own Meela’s social media presence across platforms (primarily Linked In and Instagram)
  • Support design needs (social graphics, marketing assets)
  • Plan and execute a consistent posting cadence (2–3 posts per week)
  • Implement and iterate on Meela’s social media strategy
  • Assist with broader marketing coordination and execution
  • Provide light executive-assistant-style support related to marketing and communications work
  • Event and conference planning
What We’re Looking For
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media for a company, brand, or organization, with exposure to broader marketing execution
  • Comfortable implementing an existing content and social media strategy and executing consistently against it
  • Extensive experience with design tools (Canva, Figma, etc.)
  • Soft video skills required, including capturing short clips, basic editing, and preparing content for social platforms
  • Comfortable working on-site in New York City
  • Clear interest in the problem Meela is working on and the people it affects
Nice to Haves
  • Deeper videography experience (shooting, lighting, editing, or longer-form video production)
  • Startup or small-team experience
  • Experience supporting broader marketing work
  • Familiarity with healthcare, senior living, or mission-driven companies

  • Marketing work moves forward without stalling
  • Clear, reliable communication with the team
