The Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for bringing the brand’s skincare strategy to life at retail, with a core focus on driving awareness, trial, and sales through compelling in-store and omnichannel programs. This role partners closely with creative, sales, education & events, and retail partners to translate brand strategy into impactful retail experiences that elevate visibility, strengthen storytelling, and support key business objectives.

The primary goal of this role is to maximize performance at the point of sale by delivering thoughtful, consumer-centric programs that resonate within the skincare landscape and align retailer priorities.

We are seeking a highly motivated, retail-driven individual with a genuine passion for skincare and beauty, who must have Sephora experience and a strong understanding of the skincare market. The ideal candidate thrives in structured yet creative and strategic environments, excels at cross-functional collaboration, and brings strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills to the table. This person is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple initiatives at once, while building positive relationships across teams to ensure seamless execution and consistent brand presence at retail.

Principal

Accountabilities
  • Partner with Marketing Director to develop scalable retail marketing efforts to increase brand awareness, drive traffic and increase sales in Sephora.
  • Liaise directly with Sephora merchants, leading bi-weekly touch bases, pitching for incremental exposures and support, and balancing their feedback with the needs of the brand.
  • Collaborate with internal cross functional teams (sales, sales ops, creative, education & events, influencer marketing, and social) to seamlessly execute product launches and partner with merchants on long-term strategy and plans.
  • Help plan and execute all Visual Merchandising updates, partnering with internal creative team, external retailer merchants and VMD vendor. Effectively communicate and track launch cadences, timing of updates, and confirmed animations.
  • Lead the strategy of  P-pages, ensuring all assets and copy are consistent, regularly optimized and are representative of brand ethos, partnering with the marketing specialist for execution.
  • Partner with Education team to support their needs on in-store eventing execution and logistics (i.e. FSC events, Store Takeovers, Atriums, etc.).
  • Assist with quarterly strategic alignment meetings with Sephora and bi-annual Market Week meetings.
  • Evaluate effectiveness channel marketing programming and optimize in real time. Conduct clear analyses and wrap reporting of campaigns with learnings for the future.
  • Prepare and brief creative for production and editing of marketing channel assets (including video content management).
  • Lead the sampling program strategy and execution in Sephora and Kohls, as well as kitted sampling programs (Advent Calendars, SFKs, Rewards Bazaar).
  • Lead the Digital Retailer Animation and Co-op strategy and execution, including single and multi-branded digital campaigns, and partner with Sales and Paid Media Teams on onsite media, collab ads, etc.
  • Partner with sales ops to verify Sephora and Kohls forecasts for innovation and product advancements.
  • Support strategic channel campaign programming from inception through execution (both full price and promotional programming).
  • Maintain pulse on industry best practices for beauty marketing as well as performance benchmarking.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in retail marketing, product marketing, or related field within the beauty, luxury, or consumer goods industry.
  • Proven experience managing marketing calendars, retail activations, and product launches from concept to execution.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with global or regional HQ teams, navigating time zones and cultural differences.
  • Solid understanding of retail merchandising, promotional strategies, and event planning.
