About the Role

We’re looking for a
Head of Communications & Cultural Partnerships
to own how our brand shows up in culture.

This role sits at the intersection of
media, culture, partnerships, and narrative
. You’ll be responsible for shapingwhat stories we tell,when we tell them, andwho we tell them to— working directly with top-tier culture publications and managing PR agencies as execution partners.

This is not a traditional PR role. This is about
taste, timing, and credibility
.

Key Responsibilities

Narrative & Brand Voice

  • Own the brand’s external narrative and cultural positioning
  • Translate product drops, collaborations, and platform milestones into editorial-worthy stories
  • Decide what is PR-worthy — and what is not

Media & Cultural Relationships

  • Build and maintain direct relationships with editors, writers, and cultural taste makers
  • Engage with top-tier outlets such as Complex, Hypebeast, Highsnobiety, and similar
  • Act as a trusted cultural voice for the brand externally

PR Agency Management

  • Select, brief, and manage boutique PR agencies
  • Ensure agencies execute against the brand narrative (not define it)
  • Approve pitches, placements, and timing

Campaign & Drop Strategy

  • Align media moments with major drops, collaborations, and launches
  • Coordinate PR timing with marketing, creative, and product teams
  • Support experiential moments, pop-ups, and special activations

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with founders, creative, marketing, and partnerships
  • Protect brand integrity while driving visibility and relevance

Ideal Background

  • 7–12+ years in communications, culture, collectibles, fashion, media, or entertainment
  • Experience working with or pitching to top culture publications
  • Strong editorial judgment and cultural instincts
  • Comfortable managing agencies and senior stakeholders
  • Experience with drops, collaborations, or culture-led brands
