Associate Vice President - PR & Social Media Maverick Creative

Overview

The Maverick Creative team is seeking a savvy Associate Vice President for our growing travel and luxury lifestyle consumer business.

• Has big ideas and can manage a dynamic and growing team.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients, develop and execute integrated PR plans that incorporate all forms of promotion from media relations, influencer marketing, organic social media, content creation and events.
• Have a strong executive presence and demonstrated leadership skills, and are eager for an opportunity to manage, mentor and inspire a vibrant team in productive and meaningful ways.
• Be business savvy and know the luxury and lifestyle travel and consumer industries intimately.
• Have experience with high level client relations.
• Collaborate across agency channels globally and nationwide.
• Participate in all aspects of new business development including research, audits, proposal development and pitch presentations.
• Maintain high-level editorial/journalistic/media contacts and influencer relationships.
• Be an excellent writer/storyteller.
• Enjoy sharing knowledge internally and with clients to keep them on-trend and ahead of the curve.
• Lead and develop best practices to implement an integrated social media into core service offerings.
• Position the agency as an innovator in the social media space, serving as an active spokesperson representing the firm at conferences/panels, developing bylined articles, blogs, etc., and identifying award opportunities.
• Be inclusive and supportive of others.
• Manage expectations of managers and manage compassionately to direct reports, enabling productive and open information flow to improve the team and the agency.

• A degree and 7+ years of public relations and social media/influencer marketing strategy experience, or comparable employment experience.
• Strong client relations skills.
• Proven media and influencer relationships.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful client campaigns.
• Past PR experience with the travel, hospitality and/or luxury lifestyle industries.
• Photography and editing skills are a bonus but not a requirement.

The salary range for this role is $90,000-$100,000.
