Job Description
The Media Planner is the daily focal point for the account and reports to a Senior Associate or. The role steers tactical communications planning, provides mid-level recommendations to senior media teams, and maintains daily responsibility for assigned accounts while aligning with the client’s business and marketing goals.
Communications Planning- Aid in the creation of client media communication plan goals
- Create and maintain media plans, flowcharts, buying guidelines, testing plans, results analysis, budget summaries, plan delivery, and reports
- Contribute to all communication opportunities relevant to assigned brand/category
- Write POVs and evaluate new media types and outlets
- Support the Communications Planning Supervisor in collecting and evaluating syndicated consumer and media usage information
- Compile reports of competitive market and media information for each brand or category
- Serve as the primary contact with client media staff and brand staff on media issues
- Oversee the work of Assistant Communication Planners, ensuring error-free deliverables
- Manage daily client interaction and set expectations for deliverables
- Advise clients on integrating media into advertising and marketing programs
- Grow business opportunities within current clients
- Inform clients and team of new opportunities or issues
- Lead and participate in face‑to‑face client and vendor meetings
- Build relationships with internal and external teams
- Produce well‑considered ideas and solutions
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 0‑2 years of integrated media planning experience and familiarity with the media process
- 0‑2 years of experience with analytical and online research tools such as Nielsen, @Plan, Ad Relevance, etc.
- Interest and familiarity with media planning
The anticipated salary range for this position is $39,000‑$52,962.
