Citizen Relations is looking to hire a Director of Corporate Communications to join our team!

ABOUT THE JOB:

Citizen Relations is looking to hire a Director, Corporate Communications to join our Reputation+ team, based in either the NY or LA office. We’re actively searching for the ideal candidate to join our team and help build our rapidly growing corporate communications practice, called Reputation+.

The Director of Corporate Communications will lead key client relationships at the intersection of corporate and consumer — the “corpsumer” space — where brand reputation and cultural relevance meet. This role will oversee a portfolio of corporate communications clients, managing high-impact work across crisis and issues management, internal communications, executive visibility, and thought leadership. The Director will serve as a senior strategic partner to clients, guiding integrated programs that protect and enhance reputation while driving engagement across audiences.

In addition to leading day-to-day account work, this role will manage account finances, ensure profitability, and contribute to new business efforts, including RFP development and pitch participation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead strategy and plan development alongside the account lead, offering strategic input and actionable feedback
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day account work; act as the core client contact and trusted advisor
  • Develop and guide corporate communications programs, including crisis and issues management, internal communications, executive visibility, and thought leadership
  • Provide senior counsel during crisis situations, supporting message development, stakeholder response, and reputation protection
  • Partner with clients on executive visibility, including thought leadership strategy, Linked In content, media positioning, and speech or content development
  • Support internal communications initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and alignment with corporate priorities
  • Champion innovative, insight-driven work that drives measurable impact
  • Coach team members on client management, strategic thinking, and effective communication
  • Manage client satisfaction and loyalty through proactive communication and strong delivery
