Account Executive, Health & Wellness
We are seeking a dynamic Account Executive to join 5W’s Health & Wellness practice. The ideal candidate has experience with Health & Wellness clients within an agency setting, excels at pitching, and has superior account and time management skills.
Responsibilities- Manage team workflow and take ownership of account work while driving consistent media results.
- Create and develop media materials – press kits, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, case studies, etc.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prominent members of the media in order to ensure placements.
- Develop strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines consistent with the overall PR strategy.
- Execute and advise on PR strategies and collaboratively develop strategic media plans.
- Create and develop pro‑active pitch ideas for clients based on industry, current trends and various announcements.
- Monitor media and seek out speaking opportunities for clients as “experts in their field.”
- Daily client interaction to update, report on and discuss strategy and results.
- Assist in the research, writing and development of new business proposals and presentations.
- Provide guidance and leadership to junior-level staff.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients.
- Develop and manage organic and paid influencer campaigns for both organic and paid programs.
- Monitor and engage with relevant influencer social media accounts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations or related field.
- 2–3 years of PR agency experience, specifically with Consumer/Health & Wellness based clients.
- Experience and interest in influencer relations.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and motivation skills.
- Proven client relations and supervisory skills.

NYC Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 USD
Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
