Team and Job Overview
SPORTFIVE is seeking a Manager, Digital based in its US Headquarters in New York City. This role will be a key member in the management of the fast-growing and award-winning U.S. Digital team Manager, Digital will help lead and digitally activate SPORTFIVE’s growing roster of clients and team.
The position will work hand-in-hand with clients, leading client key accounts, strategy development, and campaign execution. In addition, the role will include oversight of other key members of the team.
- Lead the ideation and development of strategies (social, digital, web, influencers/creators) and briefs (creative, content) for clients and teams
- Provide proactive leadership for the team and nurture relationship with clients
- Support new business efforts, coordinate with senior leadership and participate in new business development and pitching
- Support the creation of staffing plans, timelines and budgets while proactively identifying risks and opportunities
- Maintain oversight of all project(s) deliverables
- Play an integral role to drive forward the development of robust new business pitches and execute first-to-market campaigns that bring to life best-in-class social media ideas, as well as integration into other key marketing services
- Support the creation of scope of works for a wide array of client projects—ensuring that resourcing aligns with client goals and expectations
- Establish project policies and guidelines to assure that client and campaign best practices are being followed and identify/present solutions for any internal agency process challenges which may hinder the delivery of successful work.
- Ensure all campaigns are in line with client needs, briefs, and creative direction, while guaranteeing that all creative meets both the strategic and business goals for the client
- Work cross functionally across creative, commercial, design and CRM to ensure social media strategy is aligned with overall marketing initiatives
- Execute and optimize business performance reporting including but not limited to weekly recap, benchmarking, performance monitoring, campaign evaluation, best practices, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years of social media and content creation experience, preferably with an agency or professional sports team/rights-holder
- Extensive experience/understanding of social media platforms and digital environments, a proven ability and passion for creative thinking in partnership with other key members of the team
- Understanding of the sports and entertainment industry, especially global soccer
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience scaling a social media brand and driving performance
- Knowledge of photo and video editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere
- Experience in developing branded content and activation concepts
- Understanding of media buying mechanisms on social media and video sharing platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to grow a book of business and expand a team
- Experience with data storytelling, social listening, and brand performance tracking
- Proactive, creative and team working spirit.
- Ability to self-start
