Ilir Sela started Slice with the belief that local pizzerias deserve all of the advantages of major franchises without compromising their independence. Starting with his family’s pizzerias, we now empower over tens of thousands of restaurants with the technology, services, and collective power that owners need to better serve their digitally minded customers and build lasting businesses. We’re growing and adding more talent to help fulfil this valuable mission.
That’s where you come in.
The Challenge to Solve
Define and lead a full-funnel content strategy that positions Slice as the go-to partner for independent pizzerias. You’ll turn insights into action, building a high-impact content engine that drives demand, builds trust, and speaks directly to the needs of small business owners.
The Role
The Content Marketing team’s mission is to tell meaningful, engaging stories that resonate with pizzeria owners and clearly communicate the value of Slice. As Director of Content Marketing, you’ll define and lead our content strategy, shaping a bold editorial vision, scaling a high-performing content engine, and turning data and insights into stories that earn trust, spark interest, and position Slice as the unwavering ally of independent pizza shops.
We’re looking for an experienced B2B content leader who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment and knows how to speak the language of small business owners: clear, honest, practical and most importantly, no fluff.
You’ll drive impact through responsibilities like:
- Leading full-funnel content strategy across brand, product, education, and demand generation.
- Managing Slice’s editorial calendar, voice, and tone to ensure consistency across channels.
- Collaborating with Performance Marketing, Product Marketing, and Lifecycle teams to align messaging and maximize cross-functional impact.
- Developing thought leadership and PR initiatives that position Slice as an industry authority.
- Overseeing content creation across blog, email, social media, and event channels.
- Driving SEO strategy and execution in partnership with the SEO team to boost discoverability.
- Building and executing distribution plans across owned, earned, and paid media.
- Setting clear performance benchmarks and tying content to measurable business outcomes.
- Continuously optimizing content through testing, data analysis, and audience feedback.
- Auditing and refining existing content for relevance, accuracy, and performance

- Deep understanding of SMB buyer psychology and the ability to communicate simply, clearly, and with empathy.
- A strong editorial POV, with exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling chops.
- Proven ability to lead and scale content teams and work cross-functionally with brand, performance, and product stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success creating content strategies that drive measurable engagement and demand.
- Comfortable using analytics tools to track impact and inform strategy (e.g. GA4, Google Search Console, SEMRush).
- Experience managing freelancers, agencies, and multimedia content producers.
