This Associate, Materials Development role is responsible for the day-to‑day execution of fabric and color development processes, supporting seasonal branded and private label programs across both knit and woven fabric categories. By managing the technical execution, documentation accuracy, and cross‑functional communication, the position directly impacts product quality, brand consistency, and the overall process efficiency from concept to bulk production.
- Facilitating seasonal fabric quality/pattern/color developments for knit and woven categories
- Generating and revising CAD layouts and fabric development requests
- Following up on development status, reporting fabric comments, revisions, and approvals
- Assisting in resolving bulk fabric quality issues
- Tracking development timelines, outstanding submissions, and approvals
- Performing visual and electronic color evaluations
- Developing and coordinating physical and electronic color standards
- Technical evaluation and analysis of fabric structures and patterns
- Entering and updating fabric/color component data in PLM
- Organizing and maintaining fabric/color record archives
- 2-3 years of related work experience
- A.A.S or B.S. in Textile Science is preferred
- Satisfactory color discrimination ability and proficiency in color evaluations utilizing industry standard methods (visual and electronic)
- Basic knowledge of fabric weave/knit structures, manufacturing, coloration and finishing methods
- Basic fabric analysis and pattern evaluation
- Working knowledge of Textile CAD tools, Datacolor software and spectrophotometer is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Products
Exceptional attention to detail; strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work well with others – willing to take on challenges and to be flexible, reliable, and cooperative with positive attitude.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process.
Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
