Location: New York

Our client, a hard goods wholesaler, is seeking a Production Manager to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full production lifecycle, ensuring all goods are delivered on time and meet quality, cost, and specification expectations.
  • Coordinate closely with factories, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and realistic production calendars.
  • Monitor work-in-progress daily and quickly escalate or resolve any delays, quality issues, or capacity concerns.
  • Evaluate vendor performance regularly and drive corrective actions or improvements where needed.
  • Keep all production specs, approvals, and documentation organized, current, and fully aligned with internal standards.
  • Lead pre-production steps such as sample reviews, testing, and quality checkpoints to ensure product accuracy before bulk production.
  • Review production data to spot gaps, streamline workflows, and support ongoing process optimization.
  • Partner with Sourcing and Operations teams to refine costing, reduce lead times, and strengthen supply chain efficiency.
  • Uphold compliance with brand standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with domestic and overseas manufacturing partners.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Production, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • 5+ years of production management or manufacturing experience, preferably in wholesale, tech, consumer goods, or similar categories.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, workflows, timelines, and quality control protocols.
  • Proven experience collaborating with international vendors and factory partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to anticipate issues and solve problems proactively.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Clear communicator with strong vendor management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Full-time, on-site availability required.

$100k-$115k depending on experience.

Full time on site.
