About The Team
The R&D Soft Product Innovation Team is responsible for all personal care category launches from concept to market for Mammoth Care (Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, Mando) brands. We are a team of researchers, developers, and formulators who are on a mission to Create Things People Like More. This team is a key driver for both new product innovation and continuous improvement, raising the bar for product excellence.
About The Role
The Product Development Manager will play a pivotal role in bringing our personal care products to life. Reporting to the Head of Soft Product Innovation, you'll be a key leader on our R&D Soft Product Innovation team, responsible for the end-to-end concepting and development of new, performance‑driven products for Mammoth Care brands. You'll work closely with cross‑functional teams to turn innovative ideas into market‑ready products that our customers will love.
You Will Accomplish
- Lead Product Innovation:
Drive the product development lifecycle from initial concept and ideation through to commercialization, championing projects and ensuring they meet high standards for performance and quality. - Collaborate Across Partners:
Partner with Brand Marketing, Product Research, Lab to Market, Program Management, Quality, Sourcing and contract manufacturer partners for seamless product development. - Develop & Execute Product Strategy:
Translate consumer insights and market trends into concrete product concepts and development plans, staying ahead of scientific advancements and technologies. - Oversee Product Testing & Validation:
Build testing protocols with Product Research, Lab to Market, Regulatory & Legal teams to ensure products meet performance claims and consumer expectations. - Champion Product Excellence:
Maintain a deep understanding of our core product development principles, ensuring all products align with our mission to “Create Things People Like More,” and constantly look for ways to raise the bar on product excellence and innovation.
- Experience:
7+ years in product development within personal care, cosmetics, or CPG; fragrance experience is a plus. - A Product Developer at Heart:
Genuine interest in the personal care space and pride in creating products people love. - Execution-Focused & Results-Driven:
Proactive doer who thrives in a “no task too small” environment, building efficient systems for tracking, testing and reporting. - A Collaborative & Adaptable Partner:
