Job Description
This is a temp‑to‑hire position. Contractors will be converted after 6 months. The hourly pay rate is
*** per hour and is the base rate; shift differential (10%) is added on top of that. 2nd shift hours are 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm. Employees may receive training on a 1st or 3rd shift depending on current needs and will move to their assigned shift after training. 1st shift hours are 6 am – 2:30 pm. 3rd shift hours are 10:30 pm – 6:00 am.
The Commercial Aircraft Group seeks an Assembly & Test (A&T) Technician II who will report to the Process Manager and work onsite in East Aurora, New York on the 2nd shift.
Qualifications- High School diploma or GED preferred, otherwise demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions or English training.
- Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- At least 3 years of related experience in a technical field.
- Enrollment and participation in the company’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program, a requirement under FAA safety‑sensitive work regulations.
- Perform assembly activities using mechanical and electronic measurement equipment, specialized fixtures, tooling, gauging and torque mechanisms to meet build requirements.
- Work from drawings, work instructions, parts lists and other documentation and provide written communication of performance results and situational circumstances.
- Set up and perform operational tests of finished products on high‑precision test stands using hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic test equipment.
- Diagnose test failures and assess hardware condition to provide recommended rework instructions and configuration changes.
- Perform daily administrative responsibilities to support overall operations.
- Execute assembly operations on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro‑mechanical valves, actuators and systems with appropriate measuring instruments and cleaning devices.
- Apply knowledge of products for diagnostic rework or troubleshooting on units not meeting test requirements and perform repairs typically run with production units.
- Contribute positively to teamwork in terms of productivity, initiative, cooperation, data collection and attitude.
