Production Worker (Probationary)

We are looking for a Production Worker to join our GAL Manufacturing team at Vantage Elevation.

GAL Manufacturing is looking to fill the position of Production Worker (Forklift), who under the direction of the Traffic Manager will primarily be responsible perform in a fast-paced manufacturing plant, have outstanding communication, and strong work ethic. Must operate equipment to meet facility goals for safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.

• High School Diploma/ GED
• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
• Basic mathematical skills
• Must be able to understand and follow work procedures
• Must be able to adapt to changes and direction of the daily production
• Must be able to lift over 50 pounds

A typical day may include:

• Use various measuring tools such as caliper, micrometers, and tape measures to accurately measure parts.
• Set up and operate equipment to meet facility goals for safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.
• Perform changeovers as required for all manufacturing equipment.
• Adapt to changes and directions of daily production.
• Meet hourly and daily production targets.
• Complete and pass training for forklift and passenger wagons and die change over.

• Salary for New York Based Applicants: $16.50 an hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).

• This is an Hourly position with overtime available
• After 90 days, this position will be eligible for benefits through the IBEW, Local 3 Union
