Maintenance Technician - Refrigeration

A growing manufacturer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support production and facility operations through preventive maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and equipment reliability improvements. This is a hands-on role critical to minimizing downtime and maintaining safe, efficient plant performance.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and processing machinery
• Read and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Maintain refrigeration and utility systems including compressors, pumps, condensers, heat exchangers, ammonia and Freon systems
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement countermeasures
• Support parts ordering and maintenance inventory control
• Perform minor facility and grounds maintenance
• Complete safety checklists and uphold strict safety standards
• Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities
• Support workflow direction when equipment output impacts production

• 6-8+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• One recognized maintenance certification (electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, or reliability)
• Ability to perform electrical and electronic systems maintenance independently
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and safety procedures

• Multiple maintenance or technical certifications
• PLC certification
• Advanced refrigeration certification
• High school diploma or GED

• Strong safety mindset
• High mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Fast problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to remain alert and responsive in production environments
