Job SummaryParabit is seeking a motivated, innovative, problem solver with a comprehensive understanding of all facets of Paint and Finishing Work. Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of automotive painting or millwork finishing experience. The applicant must be proficient in fabricating top quality finished products. Applicants must be able to read and review shop drawings. A strong work ethic and personal commitment to quality and service are essential for this position.
The position will have direct oversight of the shop environment including employee supervision, production schedules and accountability. Adhering to deadlines and time management skills are essential. We are looking for a leader with excellent communication skills that is highly organized, reliable, trust worthily, and efficacy driven.
- Lead paint and finishing operations and ensure adherence to established procedures/processes/policies.
- Oversee the shop environment including employee supervision and production schedules.
- Manage deadlines and time management to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Read, review, and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Train employees for job-related tasks and promote a collaborative team environment.
- Maintain high quality and consistency in finishes across products.
- Apply knowledge of sanding, preparation, finishing, application, polishing and repair techniques.
- Operate and manage paint booth equipment and related operations.
- Maintain expertise in various paint finishes (lacquers, enamels, urethanes, varnishes, dyes, and powder coating systems).
- Apply silk screen and vinyl graphic finishes as needed.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures and demonstrate self-motivation and reliability.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and motivate employees.
- 3 years' experience in paint/powder coating applications or millwork finishing
- Ability to read and review fabrication drawings and specifications
- Capacity to finish custom products in an efficient manner
- The talent to train employees for job related tasks
- Consistently match colors and finishes within high specifications
- Manufacture high quality products
- Very knowledgeable with sanding, preparation, finishing, application, polishing and repair techniques
- Well educated with paint booth equipment and operations
- Exceptionally knowledgeable in various paint finishes such as lacquers, enamels, urethanes, varnishes, dyes, and powder coating systems
- Knowledgeable in silk screen and vinyl graphic applications
- Must adhere to established procedures/processes/policies
- Self-Motivated, with a strong work ethic
