Senior Analyst, Nutrition & Regulatory Affairs

Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $/yr

Description

This role is responsible for overseeing product labeling and nutritional compliance, including developing and updating packaging information for both new and current products. The analyst will manage ingredient declarations, nutritional fact panels, and ensure all related materials meet applicable regulatory standards. A strong working knowledge of USDA and FDA regulations is required. The ideal candidate can juggle multiple priorities while maintaining precise records and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain product spec sheets
  • Update nutrition panels when formulations or processes change
  • Support plant trials and production line assessments
  • Gather data related to process standards, product yield, and manufacturing performance
  • Review and validate preparation guidelines and heating/cook times
  • Coordinate label submissions and approvals with the USDA
  • Assist with USDA and Child Nutrition (CN) program applications
  • Track label development from draft to deployment
Compliance Training (Required on Hire and Annually)
  • Personal hygiene and manufacturing practices
  • Hazard analysis and food safety planning
  • Safe handling of chemicals
  • Machine lockout/tagout protocols
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related science preferred
  • 3–5+ years in a food production or service environment
  • Proficient in nutrition analysis platforms (e.g., ESHA Genesis)
Communication & Documentation
  • Able to interpret regulatory documents, safety guidelines, and SOPs
  • Capable of writing concise reports and maintaining compliance records
Core Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of food labeling standards and dietary regulation frameworks
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfort navigating regulatory software and technical documentation
