Senior Fragrance Lab Technician

Overview

Leading flavor and fragrance company located in New York City; NY is looking for a Sr Fragrance Lab Tech to assist the Perfumer.

Works in support of the Fine Fragrance Lab/creative lab. Independently compounding complex fragrance oils. Calculates chemicals needed, weighs, and mixes in accord with formula. Helps to maintain the perfumer logbook by recording formula, use, and customer information. Maintains stock of chemicals used and lab supplies. Must be familiar with the odor and physical appearance of basic raw materials. Must be able to coordinate and provide information to sales and other internal departments as well as to customers.

Enters and retrieves information via the use of PC. May be assigned to special projects. Serve as back up to the Lab Manager.

• Compound fragrances for perfumer
• Prepares product samples for perfumer, evaluation and clients
• Assists quality control on fragrances for customers
• Assists laboratory manager to process and maintain Samtrack for profiles & resubmissions
• Maintains a fully stocked and clean work station
• Orders raw material to maintain a fully stocked laboratory
• Understand and execute all necessary requirements for ISO 9001
• Remain accountable for all defined responsibilities as defined by ISO 9001 process flows
• Pay Rate: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
