Position: CNC PROGRAMMER (Mill Specialist)
Location: Sayville

Overview

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year

Shift: First

Work hours: 9 AM - 5 PM

Education: High School

Responsibilities
  • Technical Programming: Develop, design, and maintain CNC programs for 3-axis and 4-axis mills to produce high-end cabinet components and custom millwork.
  • Material Optimization: Analyze shop drawings and blueprints to create efficient nesting patterns that maximize material yield and minimize waste.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately translate complex architectural drawings and specifications into precise G-code and M-code instructions.
  • Tooling & Setup: Select appropriate cutting tools, calculate optimal speeds and feeds, and manage tool life to ensure the highest quality finish on various wood species and composites.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct first-article inspections and troubleshoot machine operations to maintain tight tolerances and ensure all parts meet design standards before moving to assembly.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine machine calibrations and maintenance to ensure the long-term reliability of our CNC equipment.
  • Collaborative Support: Work closely with the design and assembly teams to resolve production challenges and improve manufacturing workflows.
