Plant Automation Controls Electrician

When the production floor wakes up, you’re the one who turns alarms into uptime. One moment you’re tracing a PLC fault on a packaging line, the next you’re swapping a Device Net node, checking an AB Panel View trend, and verifying a Control Logix routine. If you like solving complex problems across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a highly automated environment, this role is for you.

Compensation

& Relocation
  • Pay: $32.01–$35.00 (based on experience)
  • Housing and transportation support available for relocations
  • Full-year contract with relocation assistance
What You’ll Handle
  • Install and commission new equipment, components, and control systems; assist with start-up and shut-down activities.
  • Diagnose and repair issues spanning electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Execute preventive maintenance on schedule and document accurate repair/maintenance records.
  • Ensure work adheres to national and local electrical codes and internal safety policies.
  • Partner with operators and maintenance teams to resolve operational and safety concerns; report hazards immediately.
Maintenance Focus
  • Quickly troubleshoot electrical/control failures to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Support production and maintenance in reducing unscheduled stops and improving line reliability.
  • Test, locate, and correct malfunctions in power, instrumentation, and control systems.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to capital projects and CI initiatives that enhance safety, throughput, and quality.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
What You Bring
  • 1–3 years of experience in an industrial, highly automated manufacturing setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics or an Associate’s degree with equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency for documentation and reporting.
  • Preferred exposure to:
    Rockwell RSView, Control Logix, PLC
    5000, Wonderware, AB Panel View, HMI software, Control Net, Device Net, Ethernet, and AutoCAD.
