Fabricator​/Industrial Mechanic

Overview

OVERVIEW - Package Pavement Company, Inc., a manufacturer and licensee of QUIKRETE products in Stormville, NY is seeking an experienced fabricator/industrial mechanic to join our team.

SALARY - $27 - $32 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain mechanical parts in our production plant and facilities, including;
  • Conveyors, elevators, dryers, mixing tanks, screens, etc.
• Inspect and troubleshoot machinery to determine cause of malfunction or extent of wear or damage
• Repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or electronic components of electrical equipment using standard tools and gauges
• Follow all OSHA safety regulations
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures when performing repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Cuts and fits parts for assembly of new machinery and repair existing equipment.
• Weld and cut using Oxygen/Acetylene process procedures.
• Understands mechanics of equipment repairs and replacement of bearings, drives, and electrical motors.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams a plus.
• Other duties as assigned

• Vocational training a plus
• Candidate will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
• Two to five years’ experience working in industrial maintenance, including;
• pneumatics
• hydraulics
• Must have own tools
