CNC Toolmaker_ Machinist

Essential Functions

• Program complex 3‑axis tool paths using Mastercam for mold components and electrodes.
• Utilize Solid Works to interpret models, prepare geometry, and support programming requirements.
• Set up and operate CNC mills, including:
• Mikron Mill S 500
• Haas VM2
• Perform hard milling and high‑speed machining operations on hardened tool steels with close‑tolerance requirements.
• Manufacture precision graphite electrodes for EDM processes.
• Inspect finished components using precision measurement tools to verify dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Maintain proper tooling, fixtures, machine cleanliness, and work area organization.
• Collaborate with Mold Makers and Engineers to ensure part accuracy, manufacturability, and process efficiency.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety policies and contribute to a safe working environment.

• Proficiency in Mastercam for CNC programming.
• Ability to read and interpret 3D CAD files;
  Solid Works experience strongly preferred.
• Hands‑on experience setting up and running CNC milling machines.
• Understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and high‑precision finishing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce parts to tight tolerances.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 40 lbs or more.
